I was in town today and came across Dollhouse in HMV for £20. Dollhouse has only just finished it’s run on American TV a few months ago so I was quite suprised it was out on DVD let alone in the UK. It’s an awesome show by the creator of Buffy, Joss Whedon. Come on, it’s Eliza Dushku – what’s not to like? The idea behind dollhouse is great, though I won’t mention anymore as not to ruin it. If you haven’t seen it – go watch!
Speaking of American TV, I started watching Warehouse 13 last night and I gotta say, fucking love it. It’s got Joanne Kelly in it from the Jack Hunter trilogy in it. I really enjoy watching her in both the trilogy and the series. It’s a bit like the x-files and a bit like jack hunter in a way.
On a side note, Snow Leopard arrived on Saturday! It was in a rather small box which was kind of unexpected. After the huge box for Mac OS X Tiger when it originally came out, I thought this would be bigger. Smaller is better though, I suppose as it takes up much less room.

Well incase anyone didn’t know, Snow Leopard was released on the 28th of August. For Leopard users the upgrade will be… £25 all included! £25! At that price it’s hardly worth pirating! It’s definitely worth it for some of the features it brings. It’s worth it alone for saving 7GB of space and QuickTime X! I ordered mine before it was released but left it a bit late so i’ve been waiting patiently. It was finally shipped today! Woot!
As it’s an upgrade to Leopard one would think you would think you would be required to install Leopard first and then upgrade to Snow Leopard but after seeing some comments online and the fact that my order has “retail” in the description I am pretty confident it’s a full install disc which you can either use to upgrade or you can install fresh.
On a side note, version 12 of the firmware for the N97 has been released in some countries, but not the UK (grrr). I could change my product code to install the euro 1 firmware but with the N97 I don’t especially want to void my warranty because of it’s problems (camera lense scratches anyone?) so I cooked up this little application to check the NSU site so I will know when it’s finally out for the UK.

So it came to that time of the year again when I had to renew MattDryden.com. Of course I renewed it – I don’t want anyone stealing my domain. But I thought to myself “Hang on, I’m paying for this and I don’t do anything with it!”. So I went into my archives and brought my blog back online.
Someone to fall back on, you ask? Well, I went to see my Brother the other day and we went to see Bandslam (Nessa… enough said) and it’s a song from that film. I quite enjoyed the film actually, but then I would enjoy anything with Nessa in.
